On This Day in Family History - January 16 - A Sad Story

Effie Ford Smith died 16 January 1887, age 19y 4m 2d

She married Frank Smith 30 March 1886

They had one child, Ford Smith, born 07 January 1887

Frank Smith died 02 January 1888, less than one year after Effie's death and before the first birthday of their son Ford Smith. 

Frank and Effie's son Ford Smith lived a long life. He married Ruth M. Smith  25 June 1917, and they had two children: Donald, and Betty. Ford Smith died April 1965 at age 78. (I have not been able to determine exactly who raised Ford Smith after the deaths of his parents.)
