Ruth was a daughter of John Martin Carter and Amy Tamsett Carter. 

John Martin Carter was a brother of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold.

David Jackson Owen was born 05 December 1865

David J Owen was the husband of Paralee Carter 

Paralee was a sister of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold.

This photo is Paralee and David Owen when they were older. This picture is on their gravestone.

Olive Burns Hulsey died 05 December 1918 age 91

I don't have a picture of Olive Burns Hulsey. This photo is her son, Lindsey Peyton Hulsey, and his wife Martha. He was born in 1870 and died in 1966 in Cullman County, Alabama.

The Burns family is connected to the Hicks branch of our family tree. The Hicks ancestry doesn't go back very far in our records. But my great-great-grandfather John Henry Hicks was married to Malisa Evaline Burns, from whom we can trace back several additional generations, as far back as 1697.
