She was the daughter of Pinkney ("Uncle Pink") Hicks, brother of my great-grandfather Ulysses Hicks

Pinkney Hicks married Anne Mirah VanWinkle and they had six children - Travanion, Herbert, Violet, Bessie, and Jack. (Travanion died when he was a baby from choking on a piece of food.)

Violet Hicks married Rom Miller and they had five children - Hansley, Winford, Donnie, Chlorine, and Winfolee. I don't have a picture of Rom Miller. I have pictures of three of their children.
