On This Day in Family History - March 14

Mary Elizabeth Carter Dunn was born 14 March 1860

Mary Elizabeth Carter was a half-sister of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold.
(Mary was born of Ned Jonas Carter's first wife. Adaline was born of his second wife.)

I think I have posted in the past about Mary Elizabeth Carter and her parents and siblings. So this time I'll post about her progeny. Mary Elizabeth Carter married Lewis Calvin 'Luke' Dunn, and they had nine children -- William, Boston, Lewis, Bert, Arthur, Vergie Bernetta, Otis, Lillie Mae, and Charles Dewey. Vergie Bernetta and Charles Dewey died in infancy. The other seven children grew up and married.

I don't have pictures of all of them. Here is a group photo that contains some of Mary Elizabeth's children -- Arthur, Boston, Lewis, and Bert.

Mary Elizabeth Carter Dunn died in 1920. Lewis Calvin Dunn died in 1929.
They are buried at Baptist Hill Cemetery Winona, Shannon County, Missouri
