Simeon Ford was the husband of Rosa Emaline Rhoades.

Rosa was a daughter of Margaret Carter Rhoades.

Margaret was a sister of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold.

I don't have a picture of Simeon Ford, and I don't have a picture of Rosa Rhoades. The only reason I included him in today's post is because of his name. Trying to wrangle all these thousands of family photos and all the thousands of names in the family roster can get confusing -- especially when there are similar names in different branches of the family tree. In this case, the name Simeon Ford can be misleading because on my dad's side of the family we have a bunch of Fords, one of whom is named Otho Simeon Ford. (Otho's grandfather's name was Simeon Ford.) There is no genealogical connection between these two Simeon Fords.

We actually do have one relative that I'm aware of that is related to both my dad's and my mother's branches of the family tree, many generations back. Theressa is my 11th cousin 3 times removed on the Thomas side of the family. Her husband Clarence is my 11th cousin once removed on the Burford side.
