Burford Ancestors - Generation 5 - Laura Amy Searcy

Laura Amy Searcy was born 24 July 1911 in Vanndale, Cross County, Arkansas

I believe this is the only picture I have of Laura. She is (standing) third from left.

Laura was the daughter of Edith Burford and Will Searcy,

Laura married Lawrence Everett Bostick 01 December 1929 in Cross County, Arkansas, son of Lawrence Toliver Bostick and Clara Beatrice Price. He was born 19 March 1910 in Arkansas.

Everett is one of the men near the center of this picture. (Help me out here, Myra.)

Laura Searcy and Everett Bostick had two children:

i. Lawrence Edward Bostick, Jr., born 15 October 1930; died 20 August 1988.

ii. Eva Laverne Bostick, born 14 November 1933; died 29 October 2011; married Dwain Pearson 'Buddy' Thompson.

I don't have a picture of her gravestone. I have a picture of her husband's gravestone. She is buried in the same cemetery.

He was a captain in the Arkansas State Police force.
