Burford Ancestors - Generation 5 - Gareth B. Johnson

Gareth B. Johnson (I can't help but wonder if his middle name was Burford) was born 01 October 1922 in Wynne, Cross County, Arkansas.

This is a black and white photo, but it looks to me like he was probably red-headed... ??

Gareth was the son of Clarence and Hazel Burford Johnson

Gareth Johnson married Joy Sue Phifer 03 February 1943, daughter of  George Clint Phifer and Ethel Frances Goodwin. She was born 04 July 1925 in Arkansas.

Children of Gareth Johnson and Joy Sue Phifer are:

i. Pamela Ann Johnson, born 15 July 1951

ii. Sharon Sue Johnson, born 24 June 1953

Gareth Johnson died 01 January 1981, age 58, in Arkansas or Missouri. He is buried in Johnson Cemetery, Fair Oaks, Cross County, Arkansas.

Joy Sue Phifer Johnson married Edward Franklin Klanke (I don't know if she and Gareth were divorced or she was widowed). She died 02 August 1993 in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, age 67. She was cremated and interred with Klanke in Medford, Jackson County, Oregon.
