J. D. and Lizzie had four children: Vera, Nina, Descomb, and Idah Belle

Nina Naftzger married Cecil Myrick Hurlbut

Cecil was the son of Myrick Hurlbut and Etta Eunice Thomas. (That's our connection between the Thomas family and the Naftzger family.) It's my understanding that the Naftzger family was prominent in the early days of the history of Bangor, Michigan.
