Effie Louise Altom Bullock died 03 August 2011, age 94

I don't think Effie is related to us. The photo on the left was included in our family photos. It was taken by my great-grandfather Ulysses Hicks, who was a professional photographer in Judsonia, Arkansas at the time. The picture on the right is from Effie's FindAGrave memorial.

She was the daughter of William Ford and Isadore Halstead

Nancy Ford married Charles Thomas. They were my great-grandparents.

Charles and Nancy had six children -- Clarence, Roy, Effie, Melvin, Renue, and Bill (my grandfather)

 Gradie Ann Jeanette Hicks was born 01 August 1943

Jean is the daughter of Elvin and Mildred Hicks.

Elvin was a brother of my grandmother Cleffie Hicks Burford

(Gradie was Jean's maternal grandmother's name -- Gradie Barnett McKay was a half-sister of Arvil and Doc Barnett, who married two of Elvin's sisters - Ruby and Irene)

 Elvin and Mildred had four children - 'Junior', Jean, Jimmy, and Joan.

Jean married Harvey L. Bookout (I don't have a picture of him).

I honestly don't know whether Jean is still living or not. It seems that Elvin and all of his children may have been cremated, so their graves are not found on the FindAGrave website. There is a note in our family history information that indicates Jean may have died in 1999 in California.
