Arnold Ancestors - Generation 4 - Verlie Ethel Edra Arnold, Part One

Verlie Ethel Edra Arnold was born 29 March 1921, Banner, Cleburne County, Arkansas

Verlie Arnold was one of Uncle George's girls.

Verlie married Everett Garrett (I don't have a picture of Everett)
PHOTO: There is a slight possibility that this could be Everett Garrett, but I'm pretty sure it's Ed.
Verlie and Everett divorced when Verlie was pregnant with their second child. Verlie married Everett's brother Ed Garrett, and Everett married Verlie's sister Mildred. All of this took place in 1939.

Everett and Verlie had two sons - West and Leon (Leon was born after Verlie divorced Everett and married Ed). West died at age 15, killed by a bull.
I don't know which one of the children this is. Probably West or Leon.

Verlie and Ed Garrett had four children, daughter Verletta, son Youl, and twin boys who died at birth.

I have a lot of pictures of Verlie. Here are some of them:
Evalee and Elvin Hicks with Verlie (their mother Annie was a sister of Verlie's father George Arnold)

PHOTO L-R: Evalee Hicks, Ruby Arnold, Bud Arnold, Clora Mae Arnold, Olan Hicks, Lowell Hicks, Verlie Arnold. (Ruby, Bud, and Clora Mae were Verlie's half-siblings -- Uncle George's family with his 2nd wife Eula Mae. Evalee, Olan and Lowell were children of George's sister Annie Arnold Hicks -- my great-grandmother.)
