Noma Edra Dye was born 10 April 1936

Noma was the daughter of Sylvia Arnold and Delbert Dye.  Sylvia and Delbert had two children - Noma and Garland. Sylvia was a daughter of Marlie (brother of my great-grandmother Annie Arnold Hicks) and Birdie Arnold.

From her obituary:

Noma Edra Dye Staggs, 83, died unexpected on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her residence in Pontotoc. An Arkansas native, Noma was born on April 10, l936 in Banner, Ark. to the late Delbert Dye and Sylvia Arnold Dye. She graduated from Oceola High School. Noma married John Oliver Staggs on Sept. 24, 1955 in DeSoto County, Hernando, Mississippi. They spent the majority of their lives living in Hollandale, Mississippi, in the South Delta. Noma worked many years as a bookkeeper for Farm Fresh Catfish in Hollandale. She lived a few years in West Point before moving to Pontotoc 2 years ago.

Noma is survived by her daughter, Jonie Tharp and her husband, Tony of Tupelo; her only grandson, John Michael Stockton of Starkville; a brother, Garland Dye and his wife, Mary of Memphis and her extended family.

I don't have pictures of Noma's husband or children. This photo of Noma and her grandson (mentioned in the obituary) was taken at the Carter/Arnold annual family reunion in 1990.

Mary Elizabeth was a half-sister of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold (mother of Annie Arnold Hicks)

Etta Eunice Thomas Hurlbut was born 08 April 1866.

Etta was a sister of my great-grandfather Charles Thomas.

Leonard Carl Richard Till died 08 April 1968.

Leonard was the husband of Madge Treat, sister of my grandmother Christie Treat Thomas..

Ruth Eleanor Till married Edward Gus Heinze 08 April 1947.

Ruth was the daughter of Leonard and Madge Treat Till (above).

Marcus Treat married Massie Parker 08 April 1896.

They were my great-grandparents, parents of my grandmother Christie Treat Thomas and her sister Madge Treat Till (above).

Leon was the son of Verlie Arnold Garrett. Verlie's father, George Arnold, was a brother of my great-grandmother Annie Arnold Hicks.

Kristin Layne Hombs was born 07 April 1966

Kristin is the daughter of Jim and Sherry Hombs. In this photo she is holding her niece Kara.

Jim is a son of Juanita Burford Hombs, sister of my grandfather Lester Burford.

Arvil Franklin Barnett was born 04 April 1906

Arvil (aka Jack) Barnett was the husband of Ruby Hicks. Ruby was the oldest of nine children of my great-grandparents Ulys and Annie Hicks.

Jack and Ruby were married 03 October 1926.

They had one child, a daughter, Oma Dell

Jack and Ruby were married 65 years.

In the photo below Jack and Ruby are with Ruby's sister Irene, who married Jack's brother 'Doc'.

Arvil 'Jack' Barnett died 18 September 1992.

Dorothy Jean Cochran Burford was born 03 April 1927, wife of Joe Burford. (Joe was the son of Raymond Burford, oldest child of Alexander Oscar Burford and his first wife Helen Virginia.)

Dorothy Mae Arnold Lafkin died 03 Apr 2020, age 90. Dorothy Mae was a daughter of Marlie and Birdie Arnold. (Marlie was a brother of my great-grandmother Annie Arnold Hicks.)

Elaine Bernardette Roussos Hicks died 03 April 2015, age 82. Elaine was the wife of Lowell Hicks, youngest child of my great-grandparents Ulys and Annie Arnold Hicks.

Malisa Evaline Burns Hicks died 03 April 1920, age 75. Malisa was the mother of my great-grandfather Ulysses Hicks.

Marion C Thomas was born 03 April 1906. Marion was the wife of Russell Thomas. Russell was the son of Roy Thomas, eldest brother of my grandfather Bill Thomas.

Martha Susan Walls Treat died 03 April 1915, age 63. Martha was the mother of my great-grandfather Marcus Treat.

Albert Newton Betts died 02 April 1953, age 81.

Albert was the husband of Sarah Caroline Carter (sister of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold)

Della was a granddaughter of Charles Ford. Charles was a brother of my great-grandmother Nancy Ford Thomas.

Laura Ann Wilkerson Carter died 02 April 1938, age 58. She died from injuries sustained in a tornado. Laura was the wife of George Thomas Carter (brother of my great-great-grandmother Adaline Carter Arnold)

Frances was the daughter of Sherman and Helen Burford Walters (sister of my grandfather Lester Burford)

John Anderson died 01 April 1886, age 48

John was the husband of Elizabeth Evans (sister of Jane Evans Carter - my great-great-great-grandmother). He was a Civil War soldier.
