Hicks Ancestors - Generation 4 - Odice Hicks

Odice Hallmark Hicks was born 24 February 1908 in Arkansas, and died 30 January 1993 in Fayette County, Tennessee.

Odice was the son of Felix Hicks and Ida Lenora Sandefur.

Odice Hicks married Lenna Sue Barkley 30 December 1949 in Fayette County, Tennessee, daughter of Samuel Gordon Barkley and Annie Sue Russell. She was born 04 November 1922 in Mississippi, and died 05 March 1997 in Florida.

I don't know if Odice and Lenna had any children. Apparently they divorced, I don't know when.

Lenna married a man named Rocks (unknown first name) in 1974. Her obituary mentions a son, Keith Barkley Rocks. He was born in 1962. I don't know if Odice was his father or not. (I would have thought he was a stepson, son of her 2nd husband, but he has Lenna's maiden name for his middle name, so... There's probably an interesting story there, but I don't have a clue.)

Odice Hicks died 30 January 1993 in Fayette County, Tennessee.

OBIT:

Odice Hallmark Hicks, 84, retired farmer and fruit grower, died Saturday at Somerville Healthcare Center after a short illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home with burial in Macon Cemetery. He was a member of Oakland Church of Christ. Mr. Hicks leaves a sister, Odelcie Williams of Oakland, and two nieces.

He is buried in Macon Cemetery, Macon, Fayette County, Tennessee

Lenna Sue died  05 March 1997 in Florida.
