Felix was the son of John Henry Hicks and Malisa Burns Hicks.

Felix Hicks married Ida Lenora Sandefur 01 September 1901 in Floral, Independence County, Arkansas, daughter of  Leonard Henry Sandefur and Sarah Jane McDoniel. She was born 22 July 1881 in Floral, Arkansas, and died 01 June 1965 in Fayette County, Tennessee.

Ida Sandefur Hicks died 01 June 1965, age 83, in Oakland, Fayette County, Tennessee.

They are buried in Macon Cemetery, Macon, Fayette County, Tennessee.
