In 2002 we bought a manufactured house and lived in the house on Boothe Road (Fairhope. Alabama) for 22 years! That was a shock to my system, because the longest I had ever lived in one house in my life was six years.
This became known as the "Christmas house" because ... well, first of all, the original wallpaper and curtains were dark green and red, with white walls, and we bought furniture that matched that color scheme. And then we gradually accumulated a bunch of small artificial pine trees, and we kept most of them up all year, with lights on. For the holidays we usually put up one big tree, and we put ornaments on all the trees. Usually each tree had a different theme -- angels, santas, gold/silver, carousel animals, wooden ornaments, birds, snowflakes and icicles, beachy ornaments, etc.
