In the Beginning...

 These are pictures of my mother and dad before they were married.

These are pictures of my mother in the summer of 1954 when she was pregnant with me. She was 18 years old. I was born in Community Hospital in Watervliet, Michigan. The doctor who attended my birth was Adelbert Stagg. He delivered both of my brothers, too. Dr. Stagg and his wife Betty and his brother Lee Stagg were our family doctors throughout my childhood.

Rick and I were born in the main building. John was born in the wing on the left, which was brand new at the time (1964). The old building is gone, and the wing is now Tri-City Village apartments, where my grandmother lived in the early 1990s.
