Arnold Ancestors - Generation 4 - Dulcie Mae Jackson

 Dulcie Mae Jackson was born 02 April 1928, Banner, Cleburne County, Arkansas.

She was a daughter of Ben and Etta Arnold Jackson.

Dulcie Jackson married Earl Lavane Nicholson 14 September 1946 in Floral, Independence County, Arkansas, son of Thomas Nicholson and Kizzie Massey. He was born 25 March 1919 in Banner, Cleburne County, Arkansas, and died 17 April 1971.

I don't have any pictures of Earl. Strangely enough, I do have a picture of his parents!

Earl Nicholson died 17 Apr 1971, age 52. He is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery Floral, Independence County, Arkansas.



Dulcie Mae Jackson Nicholson died 03 November 1984, age 56, Linn County, Oregon.

There are two memorials on FindAGrave for Dulcie. One is a cenotaph in Arkansas, a joint headstone with her husband Earl Nicholson. She was actually buried in Oregon where she was living with one of her children when she died.

Edith Mae Nicholson Grenz died 17 September 2007

OBIT

Sept. 17, 2007 Edith Mae Grenz, 51, of Lebanon died Monday. She was born in Benton, Ark., to Earl L. and Dulcie M. (Jackson) Nicholson. She came to Oregon as a youth with her family and attended Sweet Home schools, graduating from Sweet Home High School in 1974. Edith married Jeff Grenz on June 26, 2004, and they lived in Lebanon. Edith worked as a special education assistant at Hawthorne Elementary and has worked in the Sweet Home School District for 20 years. She loved music and attended the Oregon Jamboree. She loved crafts, decorating, garage sales, flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed fishing and camping. Edith was involved with Gleaners and after-school programs at Foster school. Edith is survived by husband Jeff Grenz, daughter Karee Brown and sister Lynn Duncan, all of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Dulcie Nicholson, and brother Carlos Nicholson. A memorial service will be Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Sweet Home.
