William Edward 'Bill' Searcy, Jr. was born 07 January 1918

Bill was the son of Edith Burford and Will Searcy.

Edith was the daughter of Alexander Oscar Burford, Jr. (my great-grandfather) and his first wife Helen Virginia Lockard.

Betty Ruth Barnett was born 07 January 1941 in Arkansas

Betty was the daughter of Golden 'Doc' and Irene Hicks Barnett.

(Irene was a sister of my grandmother Cleffie Hicks Burford)

Golden L. 'Doc' Barnett died 07 January 1982, age 67

I recently found some new pictures of Doc and Irene on the FamilySearch website -

PHOTO: I'm going to assume that's their first daughter, Velma Lee. This would have been about 1937.

Of all the pictures I have of Irene, she's only smiling in two of them. She was not an unpleasant or unhappy person, but her usual facial expression was serious. She just wasn't a 'smiley' person.
