 Wilma Arnold married Elvin Reed 08 February 1930

Wilma was one of "Uncle George's girls" - daughter of George Ned Arnold (brother of my great-grandmother Annie Arnold Hicks) and Jessie Tamsett

Elvin and his brother Elmer Reed were the sons of Isaac and Bertha Reed

Wilma and Elvin had one child, a daughter - Stella Marqueta Reed

Wilma died in 1984. Elvin was a sawmill operator and died in a sawmill accident in 1985.

Elvin's brother Elmer dated Wilma's sister Opie

He also dated their cousin -- my grandmother -- Cleffie Hicks.

When Elmer and Cleffie were both in their 80s, they met up at a Carter/Arnold family reunion. They were both widowed after long marriages and raising families, and they rekindled their friendship and married on 29 April 1999.
