Cousins and Tamsetts

Here is another picture of some of Uncle George Arnold's girls, along with some Carter cousins, children of John Martin Carter. John was George's uncle, so technically these were "first cousins once removed." 

Also, John Martin Carter's wife (Amy) and George Arnold's wife (Jessie) were sisters -- daughters of the midwife Sarah Tamsett from yesterday's post.

The names written on the back of the photo were placed so that each name is directly behind the person in the picture with that name -- so, looking at it from this angle, the names are in the opposite direction from the people on the front of the photo. [For instance, Wilma is the person on the far right, but her name is on the left.]

Three Tamsett women married into three different generations and three different branches of our family tree.

3. *Henry Arnold's son (George Arnold) married JESSIE TAMSETT

(Josephine was Amy and Jessie's aunt.)
