Elvin Tatum married Wilma Burris 1952

James Everett Garrett married Verlie Arnold 1936 (This is not James Everett Garrett with Verlie in the photo. It is his brother, John Edward Garrett. I don't have a photo of Verlie and Everett together. There are actually several stories related to how Verlie came to be married to the brother of her first husband.) As far as I know, Verlie is still living. If so, she turned 100 years old last month.

Timothy Gard died 1864, age 15. Timothy Gard joined and enrolled in the Army 20 February 1864 at Mt. Carmel, Illinois, for a term of 3 years. He was mustered into service 07 March 1864 and Centralia, Illinois. He died of measles 12 April 1864 at Scottsboro, Alabama while he was in the Army.

This is not a photo of Timothy Gard. I don't have a picture of him. This is another relative, on the Carter/Arnold branch of the family tree, who was a Civil War soldier.
